About Dr. Shaw
Maren Shaw MD, FAAD is the Medical Director of Charles County Dermatology Associates. Dr. Shaw completed her undergraduate studies at Spelman College. She graduated from medical school at the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Medicine in Chapel Hill. She completed her internship in pediatrics at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutger's University). She completed her dermatology residency at UNC Hospitals Department of Dermatology. She studied Mohs surgery and performed hundreds of Mohs cases while working at the Chattanooga Skin and Cancer Clinic in Chattanooga, TN under the guidance of Dr. Samuel Banks.
Most recently Dr. Shaw served as an Assistant Professor at the Howard University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. In this role, she taught residents and medical students dermatology as well as practiced medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a member of the American Society of Mohs Surgeons, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons and the National Medical Association.
Dr. Shaw is double board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic (Mohs) Surgery. Dr. Shaw is honored to deliver personalized thoughtful care for all of your family's skin needs.
