I have been a patient of Dr. Jacob Aja at Charles County Dermatology, for the past almost 4 years, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is the rare doctor who truly listens, addresses every concern thoroughly, and never makes you feel rushed. Dr. Aja's expertise is top-notch, and his care is genuinely personalized. Thanks to him, I've seen real improvements in my skin health over the years. He takes the time time to explain everything clearly so you always kleave feeling informed and confident in your treatment. His office staff is equally wonderful, professional, welcoming and efficient. If you are looking for a dermatologist you can trust completely, Dr Aja is absolutely the one!!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised by the compassion and empathy displayed by Jacob Aja. He was exceptionally supportive of my concerns. Immediately, he assured me that he could assist me with my severe eczema. He prescribed medication that he assured me it would provide me relief in a few days. His diagnosis was accurate. I am very pleased with Jacob Aja as my dermatologist as would refer him to anyone needing a great dermatologist.

Dr. Jacob was amazing with my 8yo who has anxiety. Had to do some freezing treatments for a wart and she was not a fan. Dr. J quickly and efficiently preformed the procedure and did his best to help her through it. Highly recommend Dr. Jacob for all your dermatology needs!

We are hopeful that topical Fluorouracil will be effective on Basel cell cancer of the left inner ankle preventing surgical procedure. Upon speaking to Jacob at Wayne’s last visit, he was in agreement to try this method first.

Jacob Aja is great at what he does!! Listens well, and comes up w/great plans to treat your issues! He is the first dermatologist to go the extra mile to figure out my issue!! He goes the extra mile for you!!! So lucky to have found him!!!

Dr Lainoff only has one solution for Acne treatment and it is Accutane . I expressed in my daughters appoint in Dec 2025 that I did not want to do that for her. So Dr Lainoff put her on Doxycycline and some prescription topical creams and to come back in 3 months. We came back in March and nothing she prescribed worked. She kept pushing for Accutane even after I said I did not want to do that. Her attitude and demeanor was basically I cant help you unless you do Accutane. She said to continue doing what she previously prescribed. I also mentioned that my daughter's face would be more inflamed and red after playing sports and Dr Lainoff said she may have Rosacea and gave no solution for it. She told us to come back again in 3 months and then tried to push Accutane again. We went to a different Dr in Virginia for a second opinion. She treated my daughter with different prescription creams and her face cleared up in a month. We did not use Accutane. She also said that my daughter absolutely does not have Rosacea. We will never come back to this practice. Dr Lainoff was insensitive and has no other solution except for Accutane. She didnt even try to do something different.

Jacob is an excellent doctor. He is kind, very personable and takes time to address your concerns, questions etc. I would highly recommend. With all the skin/hair products out there he will also give you his honest opinion as to whether the product(s) are any good or just a waste of money.

With her many years of experience and the daughter of Super Derm Doc Robert Berger, Meghan knows skin like the back of her hand, and everywhere else it is. If a spot appears suspicious and requires a biopsy, she'll do it pronto. On a number of occasions, she's saved my neck and other areas. Her charming personality and bright smile makes her a joy to see when appointment time comes around.

I absolutely love going to see Dr. Shaw - and who do you know who really ENJOYS going to see their dermatologist?! I do! The front desk staff are so personable, and are quick and efficient. The assistants are equally excellent, and Dr. Shaw is just awesome. Such a genuine person, a sense of humor, and a positively superb doctor. Superior skills, knowledge, and manner. Charles County Dermatology is the best there is. 100% RECOMMEND!
