Meghan Berger Pocius

Physician Assistant Certified

Meghan Berger Pocius, PA-C is a certified physician assistant who joined the practice in 2016. Meghan completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, College Park, during which she interned at Johns Hopkins University Melanoma clinic and research lab, where she authored a skin cancer guide for patients. She then went on to continue her education at the Towson/ Essex PA program, earning her masters in Physician Assistant studies in 2008. Meghan has been practicing dermatology ever since, and is trained in such skills as diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, dermoscopy, skin biopsies, laser treatments, sclerotherapy, and collagen pin to name a few. She is an active member in the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, Maryland Academy of Physician Assistants, and is a founding board member of the Maryland Association of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

 


 

Jacob Aja

Physician Assistant Certified

Jacob Aja, PA-C is a board certified physician assistant who joined the practice in 2021. He completed his undergraduate training at Boise State University. He then went on to earn his Masters in Physicians Assistant studies in 2007. He began his career in orthopedics but developed a love for Dermatology which guided him to join Charles County Dermatology. He is an active member of AAPA and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. He is trained in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, hair loss and other dermatologic problems. He is also trained to perform cosmetic procedures.

 


 

Junnan Chen

Physician Assistant Certified

Junnan Chen, is a board-certified Physician Assistant who joined the practice in 2021.

Junnan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (Summa cum laude) from Inner-Mongolia University, China. She received a Master of Science degree in Analytical Chemistry from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, MO, and M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio.

Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Junnan had more than ten years of experience in academic research, medical professional, and healthcare management by working at the Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Clinic, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. From these experiences, she learned how important modern medicine could help improve the lives of patients and finally decided to pursue a career of direct patient care by becoming a Physician Assistant.

Junnan earned her Physician Assistant Master’s degree at the Towson-CCBC PA program in 2018 and received her Physician Assistant Board of Certificate in the same year. Since then, she has been practicing dermatology.

Junnan has developed advanced skills for diagnosing and treating various skin conditions and malignancies and is capable of performing a wide variety of surgical, medical, and cosmetic procedures. She is always caring for her patients and is dedicated to not only remedying a patient’s acute illness but also helping them stay well and live the best life possible. 

Junnan is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the Maryland Academy of Physician Assistants.
